McGinley School of Irish Dance

Dancers from the McGinley School of Irish Dance have performed at numerous Irish festivals, weddings, retirement communities, parades, restaurants, pubs and breweries in Central Pennsylvania. The group has also performed in live concerts including performances at the Whitaker Center. In 2004, the group performed live with Eileen Ivers, a world renowned Irish fiddler at the Carlisle Theatre. In 2005, the group was awarded, "1st Place, Best Group/Organization in the York Saint Patrick's Day Parade," "Best Entertainment n the 2005 Harrisburg Saint Patrick's Day Parade," and "1st Place, Large Group in the 100th Anniversary of the Railroad Celebration Parade."

We do both informative shows, which teach about the dancing and involve the audience in the performance, and full choreographed shows which incorporate a variety of traditional and more modern routines.

Easy access off of Interstate 83 or Route 15.

Directions:

From Hershey (East): Take 83 South. Take Exit 42, Lemoyne. Turn right at the light. Turn left at the next light onto Hummel Avenue. Make a right onto 7th Street. The studio is located at the end of 7th Street on the corner of Pear Street. Once you turn right onto 7th Street you will see the old iron walking bridge and our parking lot. Park on 7th Street or Bosler Avenue and walk up to the studio.

From York (South): Take 83 North to Exit 42, Lemoyne. Turn right at the light. Turn left at the next light onto Hummel Avenue. Make a right onto 7th Street. The studio is located at the end of 7th Street on the corner of Pear Street. Once you turn right onto 7th Street you will see the old iron walking bridge and our parking lot. Park on 7th Street or Bosler Avenue and walk up to the studio.

From Carlisle (West): Take 81 North to 581 East to 83 South. Take Exit 41B, Highland Park. Proceed straight through the light. At the next light, make a right onto Hummel Avenue (You have to turn right or left at this light. It is a t-junction.) Turn left onto 7th Street. The studio is located at the end of 7th Street on the corner of Pear Street. Once you turn right onto 7th Street you will see the old iron walking bridge and our parking lot. Park on 7th Street or Bosler Avenue and walk up to the studio.

From Enola/Harrisburg (North): Take 11/15 South and remain in the right lane. Bear Right onto Market Street. At the light make a left onto 3rd Street. Make a right onto Bosler Avenue. Turn right onto 7th Street. The studio is located at the end of 7th Street on the corner of Pear Street. Once you turn right onto 7th Street you will see the old iron walking bridge and our parking lot. Park on 7th Street or Bosler Avenue and walk up to the studio.
